What you can sell

Every way you already train,
bookable in one place.

01

1:1 sessions at your gym

Clients pick an open time at a gym where you coach and pay on the spot. Instant confirmation.

02

At your client's gym

Let clients request their own gym. You accept first, then they pay, so you never get booked somewhere you can't train.

03

Home visits

Train clients at home within the radius you choose, with your own travel fee on top.

04

Live video sessions

Coach 1:1 over video: full workouts, form checks, check-ins. Same booking and payment flow.

05

Gym Starter

Meet someone new to the gym, give them the tour, help them pick a membership and set up their first workout. They buy the membership from the gym; you get paid for your time.

06

Tips

After each session clients can leave a tip. 100% of it goes to you.

07

Packages

Sell a bundle of sessions at one price. Clients book each session with a credit and it confirms instantly. Package credits don't expire.

08

Memberships

Weekly or monthly coaching, billed automatically. Each period adds session credits; clients can stop renewing any time.

09

Written plans

Write a training program in your Workspace. Your client reads it in the app and sends you check-ins.

10

Nutrition coaching

Ongoing coaching with targets, a meal plan and food log reviews, renewed automatically until the client stops.

11

Group video classes

Schedule a live class with a time, length and number of seats. Only paid seats get the video link, 15 minutes before the start.

12

Find you by name

Clients can search for you by first and last name, so existing clients can find and book you in seconds.

Getting paid

Keep 90% of everything you sell.

Clients pay when they book or buy, by card or Apple Pay, and sessions, packages, memberships, plans and classes all work the same way. Your share goes straight to your Stripe account, and Stripe deposits it to your bank automatically. GymPal's 10% covers the platform and the card processing fees, so there's nothing else taken out.

  • No monthly fee. You only pay when you get booked.
  • Tips are yours. GymPal takes nothing from tips.
  • Tax paperwork in one place. Stripe collects your tax details during setup, and your yearly 1099 is delivered through Stripe.
  • Earnings in the app. See every session, payout and tip in your Workspace.

Example: one $50 session

Client pays$50.00
GymPal fee (10%)−$5.00
Card processingPaid by GymPal
You earn$45.00

Plus any tip, in full. Stripe pays out to your bank on its standard schedule, usually within a few business days.

Your rules

You stay in control.

  • Your hours, minimum notice and buffer between sessions.
  • Where you train: your gyms, clients' gyms, homes within your radius, or video.
  • Who can message you: anyone, only booked clients, or nobody.
  • Safety built in: report or block anyone, and members only ever share a neighborhood, never an exact address, until a home session is confirmed.

FAQ

Questions trainers ask.

Who can join as a trainer?

Independent personal trainers and coaches 18 or older, starting in New York City. You'll need a US bank account and ID for Stripe's payout setup.

Do I need to be certified?

We recommend a recognized certification and that you carry your own liability insurance. List your certifications on your profile; members see them before they book.

When do I get paid?

Your 90% moves to your Stripe account when the client pays, and Stripe deposits it to your bank on its standard payout schedule, usually within a few business days.

What if a client cancels?

Clients can cancel for free up to 24 hours before the session. After that, your cancellation terms apply. You can also mark a no-show from the booking. If the session was booked with a package or membership credit, cancelling in time gives the credit back; a late cancellation uses it up.

How do memberships bill?

Stripe charges the client every week or month and you keep 90% of each payment. Each period adds that period's session credits, which expire when the period ends. Clients can stop renewing any time and keep access until the period ends.

How are plans, nutrition coaching and classes paid?

Clients pay through Stripe's secure checkout, and the plan, coaching or class seat unlocks in the app right after. Same 10% fee, paid straight to your Stripe account.

Can I bring my existing clients?

Yes. Share your GymPal profile link and they can book you directly. Keeping bookings and payments in the app means reminders, receipts and records are handled for you.

Is it available on Android?

GymPal is iPhone-only for now.
